Jerando is one of those diamonds, which make the Berlin techno scene so vivid. He is a great DJ in venues like Bar 25 , where he first played in 2004, followed by all the other clubs which may be worth going like arena club , watergate or ritterbutzke. As an organizer he was part of the netaudiofestival untill he started a partyseries and a label called werkstoffmusik. His first remix for Dreher and Smart was instantly apraised by the clubscene. Coming up with a co/production with Rafael Gomez , who is an excellent musician, they get one step higher as a team. With releases on substatic or Treibstoff, Rafael Gomez was part of the cologne scene and part of the well known cologne sound. His co/production with Jerando takes the best of both cities into one entire new groove. Its house, and then again techno, but there is tribal elements and its a very sunny, groovy track. This will be definitely one of those you will hear on the free illegal open air parties in Berlin, the kind of partysound the city is so famous for. Be prepared for the summer in 2011.

Hej, its time to write some news.
We ve been busy restructuring the label, so in the future we will have different platforms for different products. We will realease the same great clubstuff on aromamusic in the future, plus we will have two other brands in the label family, that is delicious beats for the loungy and breakbeat stuff and suspect for the real crude and wild clubpunk music.
Why ? Because at this point we felt that it made no sense to us to be as unreliable as aromamusic was for the last 5 years, publishing all kinds of wild stuff with one name, but at the same time we do not want to give up our wide range of wild music that we like, so we thought about dividing and thereby be more reasonable to the listeners. Of course the focus is always on the first and main brand aromamusic and we promise in 2011 we will be wilder and stronger than ever. Here is the new releases till April 2011, and promise, this year we will reach the number of aromamusic 100 for our big annual party in november. Berlin Flavours ist eine Compilation Serie mit leckerster Clubmusik “made and played in Berlin”. Von insgesamt 17 Artists, die wohl so ziemlich jeder Berliner Clubgaenger kennen müsste, spielen zur offiziellen Releaseparty: Benno Blome ( Sender), Gunne ( Lebensfreude) , Alex Sander ( Killabeat), Sven Wegner ( Kachelfunk) und DJ Aroma (Aromamusic). So ist die Compilation auch gleichzeitig eine illustre Versammlung anderer berliner Labels. Es ist ein “who is who” des momentanen berliner Undergrounds geworden, zsammengestellt und gemixt von DJ Aroma (Zu kaufen ua. bei I tunes und Beatport). Im Rahmen der Releaseparty wird es auch einige Exemplare dieser CD geben, eine Siebdruckstation mit Logos und einen lustigen Trashfloor mit echt kaputter Toilettenmusik.

Berlin flavours is a compilation series with tasty clubtunes “made and played” in Berlin. On the second volume you can listen to 17 artists, well known by the Berlin clubbers and some of them being international celebrities. The release party will take place in Berlin`s favourite underground spot: Ritterbutzke. Artists of the night include: Benno Blome ( Sender records) Gunne ( Lebensfreude) , Alex Sander ( Killabeat), Sven Wegner ( Kachelfunk) and DJ Aroma founder of Aromamusic. After all, it turns out to be also a sort of underground label meeting that night. The compilation is available on Itunes, Beatport and other tasty plattforms, for the release Party in the Berlin homebase there will be some physical CDs. Dress with your favourite Shirt, we will have logo prints for free. There will also be a funny trash floor in the restrooms.

Felix Tollkuehn - Balkan ep.

Felix Tollkuehn kommt aus zwei Welten. Seine Heimat befindet sich in der wunderbaren Natur, kurz hinter den endlosen Speckgürteln Berlins. Seine musikalische Heimat ist wiederum in den wilden Welten der Berliner Technoszene zu verorten. Virtuos kombiniert er diese Gegensätze auf seiner ersten EP bei aromamusic. Von diesem jungen und talentierten Künstler werden wir noch viel hören.

Felix Tollkuehn is an artist from the outer Berlin suburban area. Dazzeled between the fascination for the countryside and the awe for Berlin`s vivid Techno scene he likes to mingle both of these influences and fuses them to a strong piece of art. Aromamusic welcomes this gifted and very talented artist with a first release.

Berlin Flavours is a soulful minimal / tech house compilation mixing 17 contemporary clubstyles from the electronic capital. All artists have a strong connection to the berlin clubscene. Well known  artists playing in Arena Club, Ritterbutzke, Watergate, Club Maria, Bar 25, Suicide Circus, or Golden Gate contibuted tracks. The sound is as strong and diverse as the  club scene in Berlin. It`s a compilation representing a club weekend brought to the Ipod, living room or wherever you and your ears are. es rappelt in der Butzke #2 - FOCUS ZÜRICH

Es rappelt in der Butzke ist eine Pertyserie, die sich den Techno Hauptstädten der Welt widmet.
Letztes mal war der Focus London und es wurde ein rauschendes Fest mit DJs aus der Fabric und dem Egg zu gast. Diesmal gehen wir in die schweizer Hauptstadt und präsentieren den kleinen und sehr feinen Club Supermarkt. Dort geben sich seit 1998 die besten DJs der Welt die Plattenteller in die Hand. Wie in Berlin auch, sind natürlich die Hausgewächse dieser Clubs immer das was das wahre Herz des Clubs ausmacht. Tobi Dreipol ist der Vertreter dieses Clubs und auch gleichzeitig ein Teil des Labels City Lights Music aus Zürich. Wir sind schwer gespannt, was er aus dieser sehr lebendigen Stadt der Streetparade mitbringt. Vergleicht man die kleine Anzahl der Einwohner mit der grossen Anzahl guter Clubs ist Zürich auf alle fälle sehr lebendig.

Demir & Seymen sind zwei Berliner Urgewächse, obwohl sie eigentlich gar nicht aus Berlin sind. Zuerst bei Pentagonik, nun bei Highgrade machen sie sich auf uns mit ihrem hypnotisch, groovenden Minimal auf die Tanzfläche zu schicken.

Sven Wegner ist so eine art Resident Liveact bei es rappelt in der Butzke. Er ist einer DER Hamburger Djs und Liveacts. Seine Produktionen bei Lebensfreude, Kachelfunk, WBA oder Aromamusic sind immer ein ordentliche rappelnder Groove, obwohl minimal und manchmal frickelig immer gut nach vorne und Hände in die Luft. Aber bitte nicht „Jawoll“ brüllen, das ist unsexy, lieber „yes ! „ denken und auf der Tanzfläche grinsen.

Pedro Zoy ist ein Globetrotter der DJ Szene. Geboren und manchmal Wohnsitz in Portugal bringen ihn gerade mal nach Berlin. Nach seinen hochgelobten Veröffentlichungen u.a. bei Wolf Records, Inminimax oder Troja Records freuen wir uns auf sein sonniges Minimaltechno set.

DJ Aroma begreift Musik als Teil eines Gesamtkunstwerks. Seit Jahren spielt sie in unzähligen Festivals und Clubs mit verschiedenen Projekten als Live Act, DJ oder als Produzentin. Oft fand sie , dass Parties auf denen sie spielte das Gesamtkonzept fehlte. Nun versucht sie eine künstlerische gesamtumsetzung und hat dafür die Partyreihe „es rappelt in der Butzke gegründet“. Nun reist eine Party um die Welt ohne Berlin zu verlassen.

Auf dem zweiten Floor haben wir das Berliner Club-Kollektiv ://about blank eingeladen. Es spielen liebe und nahestehende Freunde von Club ://about blank. Die Djs Hagen Richter und Florian Breitschneider spielen schönen Minimalhouse bis Techno. Last und überhaupt nicht least ist auch Qiu von der Leipziger Homoelektrik dabei. Die Homoelektrik ist eine Gruppe von Musik und Partyliebhabern, die durchaus Politisch in Leipzig die die Stange für wunderbare Openairs in alten Springbrunnen oder anderen interessanten Locations sehr witzig, liebevoll und Queer umsetzt

Börsencrash und Plattenzocken: Im dritten Raum wird gespielt. Es werden Platten aufgelegt und man kann sich entscheiden: will man die Platte mit nach hause nehmen und unbedingt haben , oder findet man sie schrecklich und will sie weg haben. Nun ist der einzigartige Moment, man kann auf die Platte bieten mit Centbeträgen , dann kommt sie weg. Oder man bietet sie hoch, dann bleibt sie. Interessant wird es wenn nicht alle einer Meinung sind….das ist das Spiel. Am ende folgt entweder das Besitzerglück oder der der Crash….

Der Abend steht unter dem Motto Frühling, der ja bis jetzt eher nicht da ist. Wir holen ihn visuell ins Haus , die Butzke wird in Blumen strahlen.

Und die Schweiz ? Da versteckt man eine Menge Taler, macht euch auf die Suche und ihr werdet sie finden, wir treten den Beweis an dass man Geld eben doch essen kann…..

Neben Berlin ist London wahrscheinlich eine der attraktivsten und interessantesten Städte wenn es um elektronische Musik geht. Jacob Hustley ist Resident in der Londoner „Fabric“ mit der legendären Sonntagsparty „Wetyourself“. John and On, hat ebenfalls eine Residency in einem der grössten und coolsten Londoner Clubs „The egg“. Beide Clubs sind internationale Global Player was ihr DJ Booking anbetrifft und beide sind durchaus stilprägend für den Londoner Sound. Wie der typische Berliner Sound auch, ist er minimal, groovy, durchaus verspielt und sehr tanzbar. Die Londoner spielen vielleicht etwas mehr Techno und die eine oder andere Melodie mehr. Die Londoner selbst sagen „bouncy Techno“ dazu und tatsache spielen John and on und Jacob Husley treibende und hüpfende Beats, 100% metropolentauglich.

Im anderen Raum toben sich die Berliner Leckerbissen aus. Sven Wegner , der zwar eigentlich aus Hamburg kommt, hier aber schon so etwas wie ein resident Liveact ist kommt zusammen mit Lars Wickinger den man von seinen fetten Produktionen u.a. bei Liebe Detail oder Aromamusic kennt. Apropos Aromamusic, DJ Aroma ist wieder in Berlin , nachdem sie mit Ihren Produktionen viel unterwegs war kommt sie heim in Ihre Lieblingspartystadt und hat ein Souvenir aus Brasilien dabei, Tatiana Sanches aus Sao Paolo, ist eine hervoragende DJ, die auch schon auf der Fusion begeisterte. Last not least ist Bronco Mahagoni mit samt Zuhälterschnautzbart an den den Decks. Das wilde Ritterrappelbutzke Duo Kuriose Naturale ebenfalls und dazu die Herren Süss und Sauer.

Sehr aromatisch !

Und warum rappelt es nun in der Butzke ? Könnte ja auch eine olle Party sein wie jeden Samstag. ? Isses aber nicht weil sich ausser schöner Musik diverse Dinge neben der wilden Tanzfläche ereignen, manche sagen Kultur zu so etwas, andere Spelunke. Und wenn nicht schon das Tanzbein Grund genug ist es richtig rappeln zu lassen, dann ist es die Soundinstallation im Oelfasslager mit vielen gemuetlichen Sofas, oder das Feuer im Hof. oder die Polkaband….oder einfach nur DU ! Und wir erinnern uns als wir klein waren , da haben Erzieher und sonstiges Autoritätsvolk immer damit gedroht: „ Wenn nicht gleich irgendwas passiert…..dann rappelt es….“ > inner Butzke !

Undoubtely London is on same level as Berlin in terms of being a very interesting place for contemporay electronic music. Jacob Hustley is a resident DJ in London`s „fabric“ with the legendary sunday night: „wetyourself“. John & on is a resident DJ in one of London`s best locations as well. He plays every friday night at „alwaysfridaze“ at „the egg“. He will DJ for the first time in Berlin and we are looking forward to hear some of the typical London bouncy techno. Not too different from the wellknown Berlin groovy, minimaltech sound, very much prepared for a great crowd on the dancefloor and definetly ready for a night from club to club and metropolis to metropolis.

On the other floor some of the most exiting Berliners can be heard. Sven Wegner is playing one of his lovely livesets, just like Lars Wickinger who is not only a great producer on lablels like Liebe Detail or aromamusic. Actually this is one of the regular nights that the berlin based electronicalabel aromamusic is hosting in Ritterbutzke. Their last release is dedicated to this venue with artists like Hakan Lidbo or Coco Killah Chemistry. DJ Aroma is also back in town, after traveling a lot and releasing on other labels in Greece, Egypt, Bulgaria and Portugal she returns to her homebase with a massive DJ set. And she brought another female souvenir from Sao Paulo, DJ Tatiana Sanches who might still be in some of the heads who danced to her brilliant music at the fusion festival near Berlin. Last not least we have a lovely bunch of Berlin all time partyfavourites, homegrown, minimal, and groovy: Kuriose Naturale (we do not even know what the hell this wants to say in german) , Bronco Mahagoni (sounds like a porn celebrity from south africa) and last not least Herr Süss und Herr Sauer (Sweet and Sour DJ team).

If you had no chance to visit the venue yet, Ritterbutzke is one of those rare diamonds that used to be illegal and now that they are a licensed club keep the spirit of the underground alive. There will be an ambient floor with a sofasurfin all night long soundinstallation, an open fire plus in the backyard and lots of little unexpected things like a polka band in the bathroom floor.
